Admissions Information

Mount Seskin Community College welcomes applications from First Year 2025!

Submitting an application

Mount Seskin Community School will open our enrolments for First Year 2025/26 on Tuesday 1st October 2024. Applications will not be accepted before this date. The closing date for receipt of applications is Wednesday 23rd October 2024 at 4pm.

Application forms will be available from the school office from Tuesday 1st October, including at our Open Evening on Tuesday 1st. The online copy is now available here which parents can download and print:

Please note that applications must be submitted in hard copy to the school - all details are on the form.

If you require support with completing the application, we can help. You can drop by during any of these time slots set out and an experienced member of staff can help you.

Drop in support during the day: Wednesday 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd October 10:15am to 11:15am

Drop in support evening time: Thursday 10th October 3:00 – 5:00pm or Thursday 17th October 3:00 – 5:00pm

Please note that applications received after 23rd October will be considered and processed as late applications in accordance with the school’s Admission Policy.

Open Evening Tuesday 1st October - come in to see our school & meet our team!

We look forward to welcoming prospective First Years and their parents and families to our Open Evening on Tuesday 1st October from 4:30pm.

Our Principal Ms Ryan & Deputy Principal Mr Ferguson will give a short introductory talk at 4:30pm, 5:30pm and 6:30pm. Parents and their children can attend any talk they wish. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and meet after.

Tours will take place throughout the evening exploring the college campus to see subject spaces come alive, meet leaders and pastoral support staff, hear from Transition Year student ambassadors first hand of course, enjoy performances from our school band!

Parents, future students and the whole family are welcome.

Support for Primary to Secondary Transfer

We have a dedicated team to support secondary transition and ensure the journey to settled, secondary school life is smooth for all of our young people. This is led by Ms Mulhall who works closely with the wider pastoral, guidance and curriculum team to prepare the programme.

Our team will share all appropriate information on application forms for admissions, waiting lists for places and other key information.
