First year students went on a trip to the Natural History Musuem and Archeology musuem on 22nd December. This trip was kindly supported by Dublin Bus who provided the transportation from school to the musuem.

Parents and teachers from MSCC did a bag pack in Dunnes Stores, Citywest on 20th December to raise funds to maintain our school defibrillator.

Parents from MSCC were part of the Potholes parent group who attended a trip to Dublin castle. The motto of the POTHOLES group is  'Parents On Tour Helping Out Learning Educating Sharing'.

Colaiste de hÍDe kindly hosted a group of students from Mount Seskin Community College who were researching Gaelscoileanna as part of their Gaeilge Chumarsáideach studies for the Leaving Certificate Applied. A fantastic day was had by everyone learning and sharing in each others school experiences as well as practising a cúpla focal!.

Just to let you know that we are going to have a 'Celebrating Difference' week in our college from Monday 5th February - Friday 9th February.

We have a number of events planned and we will keep you updated as things progress!!

The Shaw class have created a wonderful poster promoting our poster competition. Information is on the screen in the main hall and entries must be handed in by lunchtime on Monday 5th February to Paddy. He is coordinating the project with the Cairde and all entries will  be displayed in the PE hall for our Multicultural day. A huge thank you to Mr Conroy and Ms Murphy for letting us use the hall.

Monday 5th February, Zeeko are coming (storm ophelia kept them away in October) to our school to present seminars on Internet Safety.

Tuesday 6th February, back by popular demand will be our Multicultural Day. Last year we had a fantastic celebration of food, language and culture and we hope to have the same again this year. If you are interested in putting a stand together, please contact Paddy. The Cairde did a fantastic job of promoting the week last year so we have no doubt that they will do the same again this year. If students have parents who are interested in bringing food to the event, please ask the students to speak with Avril. Students will be asked to pay 50 cent per food sample!

Thursday 8th February, we are having a group called 'Shout out' come to our school to do some workshops with selected class groups. They focus on LGBT issues for young people.
