This week has seen the launch of the ACE programme for 2024-25 for Sixth Year students.
Students and their parents attended the introductory session with Ms O Connor, ACE coordinator as part of the launch. Students underwent a rigorous interview process before being awarded a place on the programme, which supports access and success in university following the Leaving Certificate.
Ms O Connor set out the benefits of the programme including access to a year of additional timetabled classes after school across a range of subjects. To acknowledge good attendance at these classes, students also receive a monthly payment of 50€!
Parent Evenings though the year will be held in TUD, providing advice and support to parents about the CAO process and how they can best support their child as they enter third level education.
Later in the year, students will enjoy a residential to an Adventure Centre in Cavan, have support for Gaeilge preparation and supplementary revision sessions pre-exams.
ACE alumni are now studying a variety of courses in Maynooth University, Trinity College Dublin, TUD and UCD, to name but a few. Congratulations to all embarking on the programme this year and thanks to Ms O Connor for shaping the programme.
