'A key part of the work of the Parents Council is fundraising for our school. Over the last number of years, our parents have organised a number of fundraising events. At our school Féte, they organised a hot dog stand. They have run hot chocolate mornings in December, they have ran a school shop at our sports day. They have organised raffles and the sale of tickets for our school show. They have also cooked food for our multicultural day. In the last 5 years, they have fund raised over €2,500.

The Parents' Council have bought defibrillator for our school and have also actively fund raised to maintain it, as the batteries and pads must be replaced every two years. This money has also been contributed towards the running of the school show, the purchasing of new lockers for students as well as a camera to record student work for their Leaving and Junior Certificate exams'

"All monies raised by the school, whether by way of contribution or costs levied, will be used exclusively for the benefit of the school but not necessarily and entirely for the specific purpose defined or stated.  The purposes for which the monies may be used include, but is not limited to, day-to-day running expenses, small repairs and maintenance and/or any other school related purpose deemed appropriate by the school. In no instance will it be used for a capital purpose."
