The core curriculum which is taken by each pupil for the first three years consists of English, Irish, Maths, History, Geography, CSPE, Religion, SPHE and PE.
Students choose option subjects from a range which may include :- Art, Home Economics, Business Studies, Science, Metalwork, Woodwork and a language either French or German.
The Junior Cycle Programme
The Junior Cycle Schools Programme supports and supplements the Junior Cycle Programme by offering students the option of continuous assessment.
Senior Cycle During 5th and 6th year our students study either for -
Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme
Each student studies core subjects of Irish, English, Maths and either French or German and chooses three other subjects.
These optional subjects may include: Art, Biology, Chemistry, History, Geography, Business Studies, Home Economics, Construction Studies, Engineering.
Leaving Certificate Applied
Leaving Certificate Applied is another senior cycle course on offer at Mount Seskin Community College, and is based on continual assessment over two years, with students taking part in work experience as well as taking a broad range of subjects which include:
o Social Education o Vocational Preparation & Guidance o Information & Technology
o English & Communications o Mathematical Applications o Modern Languages
Students also choose specialist subjects such as Engineering, Graphics and Construction, ICT Specialism, Hotel Catering & Tourism and Craft & Design.
